Co-Founder and Chief Dialogue Officer of PACE OD Consulting, Dr. Peter Cheng is the driving force behind PACE's research and development efforts. Through the art of dialogue, Peter passionately engages and helps senior management and senior leaders diagnose the real issues that hinder their goal achievements. He skilfully designs and delivers results-oriented interventions that advance his client-organisations toward achieving their desired strategic direction. He is also the founder of subsidiary, PACE OD International

As an OD consultant, executive coach and a master facilitator, he engages his learning partners in appreciative inquiry and helping people think together. Peter’s interpretive, process-driven approach facilitates the achievements in personal and organisational breakthroughs.

Since having co-founded PACE in 1998, he has reached out to thousands of leaders and professionals, through his often well-received and life-impacting workshops and coaching. His clientele includes MNCs from diverse industries such as Hilton Worldwide, FujiXerox, Cycle & Carriage, Bridgestone, ComfortDelGro, Fraser & Neave, Bank of Singapore, Marshall Cavendish, MSIG Singapore, Shimadzu, and Singapore National Eye Centre. He travels to no less than 10 countries to deliver workshops and consultancy assignments.  

He often speaks at public forums and is a well-received thought leader in OD domain. As a certified master of The Leadership Challenge, Peter presented at The Leadership Challenge Forum 2015 in San Francisco. He also lectured on leadership at Tsing Hua University’s International MBA program.

He has co-authored books such as The Language of Organisation Development (2013), and Real Leaders (2013). To help service professionals be equipped with cutting edge service skills, Peter authored Real Service (2014), a book which has been instructionally designed into four 2-day workshops.

Peter also conceptualised and developed the PACE360° Feedback Assessment System after extensive doctoral research into credible and meaningful feedback constructs that will improve the behaviours and competencies of people managers and organisation managers, as well as the Real Leaders 360° Feedback System. He published a white paper on The Impact of Real Leaders on Constituents in 2017, further validating the Real Leaders 360° Feedback System and confirming 27 hypothesised positive outcomes of Real Leadership.

Prior to his pioneering work at PACE, Peter accumulated 15 years of working experience as a General Management and Sales and Marketing professional in industries including Healthcare, Sports, FMCG and Fashion. Peter holds a degree in Business Administration, Masters in HRD from George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Education from Monash University.

Peter is the proud dad of 3 superb and musically-talented grownup children and a grandpa of two awesome grandchildren. He plays the drums, guitar, bass and sings too. He finds fishing therapeutic and relaxing, to keep sane in this fast paced world.
