As Corporate Communications Specialist at PACE OD Consulting, Joanna drives digital communication and marketing initiatives, working closely with PACE's OD catalysts to bring its OD solutions to the people and organisations who need them most. She also supports the PACE OD International team, assisting in its distribution of PACE's OD solutions in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Joanna is also the editor of Real News, PACE's monthly newsletter that brings Real OD issues, research and stories to HROD professionals both locally and internationally.
During Joanna’s final year at NUS, she worked part-time as an Assistant Director of Educational Media and Sound Designer at the Singapore Institute of Technology, helping to produce the university’s first massive open online course. Trained musically as a pianist and harpist, Joanna also composed and recorded the soundtrack for the online educational video series. She continues to use her creative abilities in multiple modalities in her role at PACE, combining her flair for media and writing with her passion for people and culture.
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) majoring in Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Her enthusiasm for understanding diverse cultures, communities, social mobility, and the use of video as a powerful tool of communication, helped to shape the topic of her Honours thesis, which explored how the modern tradition of refugee film represents the experience of Afghan refugees. Following her graduation from NUS, Joanna completed the Music and Worship Discipleship Training in Australia with Youth With A Mission, and went on to complete a School of Biblical Studies at its campus in Taipei. In her free time, Joanna continues to develop her skills as a harpist and pianist.
