With over two decades of experience in the field of human resource management and more than 25 years of working in the Sanofi Group, Freddie gained as much expert knowledge as leadership competencies that serve him well, when it comes to leading and developing people.
Freddie started his HR career as the Head of HR in the Singapore manufacturing site. In 2001 he moved to China as Head of HR for the China operations. Later he was promoted to Vice President HR for Asia Pacific and Russia.
During his 13 years of China assignment, Freddie made significant contributions including the Sanofi-Aventis merger, and starting the Sanofi University and China Talent Center. He played an instrumental role in the China expansion seeing Sanofi grow from a size of 500 employees to nearly 10,000 employees by the time he ended his China assignment.
In 2003, Freddie was named China “HR Director of the Year” in the China Staff Awards by CCH. Freddie was featured in the cover page of HR Value magazine (China) in June 2012 edition and Human Resources magazine (Singapore) in March 2016 edition. These awards reflect his constant pursuit of excellence as well as his great love of leading and developing people.
All these valuable experiences have bestowed Freddie with the skills needed to facilitate people transformation.
Freddie has a mechanical engineering background with a business degree from RMIT and a Masters in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University. Freddie is a Certified Compensation Professional with WorldatWork and is currently a teaching faculty member in China and Singapore. Freddie is a certified coach with Behavioral Coaching Institute and a licensed facilitator for Negotiation, Influence and Communication skills training.
