PACE OD ends the year on a high note as two more of our OD facilitators take on the role of The Leadership Challenge® (TLC) Trained Facilitators. Joining TLC Certified Masters, Lily Cheng, Peter Cheng, and Jean Lee, and Trained Facilitator Fione Goh, are Rey Subingsubing and Gabrielle Lee.

Rey and Gabrielle are skilfully experienced in the field, having conducted impactful workshops in their years of working at PACE OD. With them as new additions to the TLC team, PACE OD can now provide better quality organisational development workshops that bring about organisational effectiveness to their clients.

Rey Subingsubing

I am currently reading…

Insights on Leadership: Service, Stewardship, Spirit, and Servant-Leadership by Larry C. Spears. The book discusses a range of leadership principles including stewardship and the concept of healing leadership. It is a personal source of inspiration and instruction, and the examples and essays in the book teach me great lessons.

A new OD concept/model that I learnt recently is…

"Golden Circle” of human motivation by Simon Sinek. The model explains how great leaders inspire action. It delves into, what he calls, a naturally occurring pattern, grounded in the biology of human decision-making. This explains why we are inspired by some people, leaders, messages and organisations over others.

A milestone that I have achieved recently is…

Becoming a Trained Facilitator for The Leadership Challenge® workshop.

My leadership role model is…

Dr. Martin Luther King. He was a visionary—a man who had a dream bigger than the times in which he lived. Dr. King led a social movement of equality during a time when he faced great opposition. Despite being threatened and despised by many, he stayed committed to his vision.

Where I see myself in 10 years…

I see myself working not out of necessity but fuelled by passion. I see myself growing to a height from which I add greater value to the society and hold a valuable place in the organisation.

““Once again, Rey has proven himself as a fantastic facilitator. He puts people in the right place at the right time.”

— Robert Bosch (Penang) Pte Ltd - June 2014

“· “Good facilitator, very appropriate when facing customers.” · “Facilitator is able to make the course interesting with active engagement.” · “Facilitator is very passionate and engaging.”

— Singapore National Eye Centre - July and November 2014

Gabrielle Lee

I am currently reading…

Focus by Daniel Goleman and What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell. Malcolm Gladwell is one of my favourite authors because of his interesting social psychological observations. I also like Daniel Goleman’s work in psychology, particularly in the area of emotional intelligence. These two individuals remind me why I decided to have my academic roots in psychology.

A new OD concept/model that I learnt recently is…

The Pygmalion Effect (more of a psychology concept). I came across this in my research about psychology and leadership development.

A milestone that I have achieved recently is…

Becoming The Leadership Challenge® Trained Facilitator

My leadership role model is…

Aung San Suu Kyi, because of her resilient attitude, visible passion for her calling, and her firm stand on what is right and just for her people. I admire these leadership traits and seek to cultivate them in myself.

Where I see myself in 10 years…

Transforming others through authenticity; be it personally or professionally. Using my knowledge and skills to find out and fulfil God’s calling for me.

““Thank you for your interactive training! We received positive feedback from the participants.”

— Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide Private Limited - October 2014

““Gabrielle was very engaging in making the 2-day session lively and interesting.” “Gabrielle was able to relate personal experience to the course content.”

— Changi Airport Group - December 2014
