Founded in 1964, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) is one of the oldest and finest private education, professional development and adult continuing education organisations in Singapore. It aspires to be the centre of leadership and management excellence, and the embodiment of lifelong learning through spearheading management thought leadership, seeking to be the preferred strategic partner of corporations in maximizing return on human capital, becoming the choice provider of continuing education to individuals, and transforming SIM into a regional brand.
An independent not-for-profit professional membership organisation, SIM boasts a strong network of about 27,000 individual and corporate members, including its student population. Extensive partnerships with prestigious international universities, such as University of London, International Hotel Management Institute, University of Sydney and The George Washington University, allow SIM to offer a wide range of more than 50 academic programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels. It also offers a full suite of executive seminars and membership activities to meet learning needs at various stages of its students’ and members’ career or professional development.
Quality and excellence have always been at the top of SIM’s agenda. In 2005, SIM was awarded CaseTrust for Education, showcasing its sound foundation for quality student welfare and business practices. Likewise, SIM attained Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations in 2003, an enhanced SQC recognition for the education sector. Similarly, it was one of two educational organisations in Singapore to receive Singapore Quality Class (SQC) in 2002 in recognition of its business excellence.
For more than 40 years, the SIM brand has become synonymous with comprehensive and industry-relevant learning programmes, quality delivery, and excellent teaching standards. All SIM programmes adhere strictly to the academic standards, processes and procedures set and validated by its university partners.
We are proud to partner with SIM since 2006 to offer The Leadership Challenge® (TLC) through public workshops three to four times a year, thereby providing global leaders with learning opportunities on leadership development. Facilitated by Peter Cheng and/or Lily Cheng, TLC Master Facilitators from PACE Organization Dynamics, the TLC workshops have found great success with participants of whom many are senior leaders in their organizations. We look forward to launching new and exclusive workshops and seminars through SIM, our education institution partner of choice.
